Seenless ("we", "us") is an independent app for viewing and downloading publicly available Instagram content. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
The short version
- For public accounts you don't log in - there's nothing tied to your identity.
- If you choose to log in for private accounts you follow, your Instagram credentials stay on your device and are never sent to or stored on our servers.
- We don't sell your personal data.
Information we collect
- Account & login. No account is required. Optional Instagram login (for private accounts you follow) is handled on your device; we do not receive or store your username or password.
- Usage & device data. Like most apps, we use third-party tools to collect app interaction, performance and crash data, and device/advertising identifiers, to keep the app working and to improve it.
- Website visits. On this website we use Amplitude to see how visitors use the pages - page views and clicks, plus session replays and heatmaps built from clicks, scrolling and mouse movement. Text typed into fields is masked. Amplitude uses cookies and processes this data under the Amplitude Privacy Notice.
- Advertising data. We may use advertising identifiers to show and measure ads.
- Purchases. Subscription status is handled through the App Store and our subscription provider; we don't receive your full payment details.
- Follower analysis. Two features answer "who doesn't follow this account back". If you import your own Instagram data export, the archive is uploaded to our server, read for the follower and following lists, and deleted at the end of that request - nothing else in it is stored. If you type a username to analyse, we send that username to a third-party data provider, which returns that public account's follower and following lists; we hold the result for up to 24 hours so the same account isn't fetched repeatedly, and we log only aggregates - never the username, never anyone on either list. Both work on public accounts and neither uses an Instagram login.
How we use information
To operate and secure the app, fix problems, understand and improve how it's used, manage subscriptions, and show ads in the free version.
Sharing & service providers
We share limited data with service providers who process it on our behalf - for analytics, crash reporting, advertising and subscription management. They may only use it to provide their service to us. We do not sell your personal data. The follower analysis above also sends a typed username to a third-party Instagram data provider, which returns that public account's follower and following lists.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EEA/UK under GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@anonstoryviewer.app.
Data retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it.
Children
Seenless is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13.
Security & international transfers
We use reasonable measures to protect data. Where data is processed outside your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "last updated" date above when we do.
